      Introduction to Language Link

Language Link has been teaching foreign languages ever since its creation in 1975. Starting with one school located in the heart of London's Kensington District, Language Link has always sought to provide high quality language education, and to promote cooperation, mutual understanding and communication between nations. In 1991, in an effort to better serve the countries of Eastern Europe, Language Link decided to open an English language school as part of a pilot programme in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, now the Slovak Republic. The success of this venture was so great that Language Link was able to quickly expand both the number of schools that it was operating as well as the range of language services that it offered. Today Language Link employs over 400 teachers around the world, who, each day, provide 20,000 students with the opportunity to study foreign languages in Great Britain, Germany, the Czech and Slovak Republics, Poland, Viet Nam, China, and Russia.

Language Link, Russia

Language Link first opened its doors to students in Russia in July 1994, and since then, the outstanding quality of teaching and customer care at our schools has enabled us to expand operations right across the country. Today, Language Link teaching centres operate in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Samara, Toliatti, Ekaterinburg, Ufa, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Zelenograd and over thirty sub-centres located within the peripheries of these cities. While many of our schools specialize entirely in teaching English as a foreign language, Language Link's centres in Moscow, St Petersburg, Volgograd and Samara have simultaneously developed an outstanding reputation as providers of instruction in Russian as a foreign language. Whatever the language, 'teaching Excellence' is our motto and our goal, underpinning every academic endeavour we undertake. Our Recognitions & Affiliations and What our Students Say about us demonstrate convincingly that Language Link's status as Russia's premier language school is well-deserved. Language Link officially opened its first Centre for Russian as a Foreign Language in June 1996. The success and recognition that has already been achieved is largely thanks to a policy of employing only the most highly qualified teachers. Language Link placed teacher recruitment under the direction of Elena Kallo, who, with 17 years of teaching experience both in Russia and abroad, has helped Language Link's Centre for Russian Studies evolve into a highly dynamic and diversified department capable of offering course instruction to both individuals and groups, coming from abroad and from within Russia. Likewise, Language Link has entered into a number of agreements with universities and private enterprises for the purpose of providing Russian language and cultural studies to a wide-ranging clientele, from both the academic and the business world.
