TORFL
The TORFL or Test of Russian as a Foreign Language is a language qualification that has been run in the Russian Federation since its inception in 1995. Similar in concept to other major international examinations, the TORFL is used to determine the test-takers current language skills and abilities with regard to his or her present knowledge of the Russian language.
At present, there are six test levels in the TORFL testing system. Each level has been designed to conform to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The TORFL testing system is also recognized by ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe).
